Our 2024 impact

As part of our commitment to better business, we believe it's important to share transparency about the environmental impact of our own studio too.

Scope 1 & 2We work remote first, and have 100% renewable tariffs in place across our home energy providers.

Scope 3As a digital business our scope 3 is driven primarily by the suppliers and associates we work with and the bought in goods and services that we utilise to deliver our work. Estimating the attributable emissions from SaaS products like Office 365 and Figma is complex, and we have used a benchmark value in several cases.

What we've implemented

Refurbished kit

Where possible, all our IT equipment is purchased refurbished, saving up to 85% of each devices footprint versus buying new.

Carbon neutral

We use 100% renewable energy tariffs in our primary working locations, green hosting providers, and offset 100% of our unavoidable emissions in partnership with Ecologi.

Pro-bono & community support

We donate at least 1 day a month to charitable projects, mentoring and initiatives that support access to the digital industry.

Fully remote

We work remote first, minimising our travel and office footprint.

Supporting female founders

More than 50% of our associates are from female-led businesses, and we champion diversity in tech.

Project red-lines

We do not work with clients or suppliers directly involved in the following industries:
• Fossil fuels
• Political lobbying
• Climate denial
• Gambling

Future goals

We are actively working towards B Corp status, and while as a small studio its not quite within in our reach yet, we are putting in place the relevant groundwork now.

We have completed a preliminary B Corp Impact Assessment and some of the actions we are addressing now include:

  • Measuring and tracking our social and environmental outcomes over time.
  • Aligning supplier and governance policies to B Corp guidelines
  • Ensuring diverse hiring practices and leadership opportunities as we grow and scale
  • Ensuring social and geographic diversity in the suppliers we use.
